From the moment families arrive in New Zealand, the Trust has been there — helping them navigate the practical and emotional challenges of life in a new country. Our welfare support spans funeral services, settlement consulting, and everyday community outreach that meets people where they are.

Our youth programmes create pathways for the next generation to stay connected to their cultural roots while thriving in New Zealand society. Through cultural events, festivals, and gatherings, the Trust has brought communities together in celebration of shared heritage for over a decade.

Subsequent Foundation Day celebrations have grown in stature and depth, featuring formal exhibitions on Uttarakhand's contribution to India's freedom movement and its proud legacy in the First and Second World Wars — stories that have rarely been told to New Zealand audiences.

These events earned formal notes of thanks from the Minister for Culture and Tourism, reflecting the quality and significance of the Trust's work on the national stage.

The Trust also championed the promotion of Mahakumbh — one of the world's largest spiritual gatherings — through cultural programming that reached well beyond the Indian community.

Beyond civic work, the Trust has championed Indian arts and culture in New Zealand — hosting celebrated singers and performers, and creating platforms where culture becomes the bridge between communities old and new.

From Diwali celebrations to classical performances, the Trust has consistently created spaces where the richness of Uttarakhand and Indian heritage is shared with all of Aotearoa — not just the diaspora.
